The Other Love Line
Hye-In hears from Jin-Hyeok that Soo-Hyun wants to break-up with him. She confesses to him, she further tells him that after seeing him together with Soo-Hyun she understood that she only liked him but didn’t love him. Hye-In knows that he is a very good person and she hopes Jin-Hyeok doesn’t end his relationship with Soo-Hyun. Elsewhere, Dae-Chan finds out from Mi-Jin that Jin-Hyeok and Soo-Hyun have broken up, he then gifts earrings to Mi-Jin. Mi-Jin apologizes to him and declines his gift. She tells him that although she had fun while she was with him but he is of different “standard” from her. Dae-Chan understands the situation and they decide to become friends. Jin-Hyeok’s mother decides to tell him about her meeting with Soo-Hyun, he tells her that he already knows about it. Further, he understands why she did it and he still loves both her and Soo-Hyun.
Next day, Jin-Hyeok takes out Mr.Nam for lunch in return Mr.Nam lets him drive Soo-Hyun home. Jin-Hyeok’s mother prepares a large feast and takes it to Soo-Hyun. She apologizes to Soo-Hyun for interfering in their relationship. Soo-Hyun tells her that it is not her fault because she had the same things on her mind. Jin-Hyeok’s mother hopes Soo-Hyun at least eats well and leaves the food with her. Elsewhere, Woo-Seok’s mother has to go to the prosecutor, she tells Woo-Seok that she hated Soo-Hyun because she didn’t fear or envied Taegyeong’s power and worth. Woo-Seok tells that more she hated Soo-Hyun more he felt sorry towards her. Woo-Seok is worried about his mother but she is more worried about leaving him alone. She is finally taken to the prosecutor’s office.
Soo-Hyun visits her father in the jail, he tells her that she should be happy herself first if she wants people around her to be happy. Jin-Hyeok returns the heels (and a letter) that she left with him in Cuba when they first met. After reading the letter she has change of heart and she goes (driven by excited Mr.Nam) to meet Jin-Hyeok. She finds him in the familiar playground and gives him a Kiss (a deep one). They have their first date after making up at Dae-Chan’s restaurant. One Year later, a new recruit joins the Jin-Hyeok’s team, he seems to give similar vibes to Jin-Hyeok. Woo-Seok is left alone, his mother denies all his visitation requests. Everyone else seems to be doing fine, Jin-Hyeok proposes to Soo-Hyun.
I can hear the sigh of relief from all you guys who were hoping for a happy ending. We do get a happy ending, a bit too happy for my liking but still not bad. I have to say this episode was a bit lacking when compared to the series as a whole.
The leading couple of Park Bo-Gum and Song-Hye-Kyo overshadowed everything in this show with their star power alone. I can guarantee that if we replace the leading couple with some actors who are less popular that this drama wouldn’t have reached the heights it did. Big applause for both of them for the great work.
Out of all the character, I feel most sorry for Woo-Seok, he lost his “soulmate” and his mother as well. I really enjoyed Jang Seung-Jo’s acting, I wish we were shown more of him. I will be waiting for his next project.
The second couple of Dae-Chan and Mi-Jin were really funny although I sometimes feel the overacting from Mi-Jin which could have been annoying but their chemistry overshadowed it.
Any of you guys hyped about the next drama replacing Encounter, Touch Your Heart starring Goblin couple Lee Dong-Wook and Yoo In-Na.
