Jennie has the most amount of hints in the last episode and she was confident as well. Let’s find out if she finds the money or does somebody else beats her to it.
Village Survival, The Eight Episode 4 Recap
Ramyun On Fire
After the quiz, it’s time for dinner preparations. Today’s menu is Jjajang Ramyun with Chilli Tuna and Fried eggs. Jae-Seok and Se-Hyung start the fire but it becomes too strong and causes some issue for them. Scaredly Jae-Seok is overly frightened by the fire, while others members enjoy the smell of Ramyun. Ki-Young is again not getting much attention from the members while he cooks rice alone in the kitchen. All the members enjoy the delicious dinner they prepared themselves. After dinner, it’s again time for another game, Se-Hyung is the most excited one. In the next game, one member from the team will explain the proverb by only using facial expressions. While the other members of the team guess the answers. Members of both teams are not confident in their knowledge of proverbs.
Kim Sang-Ho answers the correctly the first question and gets over excited. He then starts to swear when it’s his turn to explain. Cheater Se-Hyung comes with a good strategy to beat the other team. His team wins in the end even with their lack of knowledge. Hence, each of them gets to pick an extra item.
Image Ruining Game
In a flashback, we are shown a few of the members found hints before they started to prepare for the dinner. Now in present, its time for image game, which deeply hurt Ki-Young and Dam-Bi in episode 2. The first victim of the game is BlackPink’s Jennie.
Few of the guesses:
“Someone who will cause trouble but won’t handle it.”
“Who seems dull.”
“Someone whom we wish causes trouble.”
Ki-Young is aggressively takin part but late gets scared of her fans commenting on him. In the end, Jennie answers correctly herself. Next victim is one-half of the crazies Song-Kang (another one is Dam-Bi).
Few of the guesses:
“Someone who kissed the most recently”
“Someone who talks, but means nothing”
Jennie answers correctly again and disses Do-Yeon in the process as well. Next Victim is Ki-Young and he gets disheartened when he hears his name.
“Someone who looks pitiful”
“He looks stupid”
“Over two weeks Seolgi grew, but he didn’t”
“He looks so poor that you want to give him some money”
Dam-Bi answers correctly this time. Next victim is Sang-Ho, no one wants to say anything bad about the eldest member. Jennie answers correctly again and gets to choose three extra items. She now has a total amount of seven items.
The Next Indiana Jones
After the game members go in the search of the hints and the place where money is hidden. Se-Hyung goes to each member trying to learn new hints. He agitates Dam-Bi who in return starts swearing at him. Even after the search, Se-Hyung keeps annoying other members with his comments. While everyone is sleeping Ki-Young, Jennie and Soo-Hyang (separately) go to look for the money. Next morning they get ready for the quiz as soon as they wake up. Ki-Young gets dissed early in the morning bringing laughter to other people’s faces. Jennie really wants to answer correctly and eat breakfast but her brain is not working well. The game goes for a long time and in the end Soo-Hyang, Ki-Young and San-Ho wins the right to eat breakfast.
Winners and Losers
In a flashback, we see Soo-Hyang telling other female members that she solved the mystery but someone has already taken the money. Jennie suspects its Ki-Young. In present, at the breakfast table, Soo-Hyang asks Ki-Young if he has hidden the money safely. He denies Sang-Ho thinks one of the female members have found the money. He also tells Ki-Young that he saw him going out last night. Jae-Seok finds himself lonely during these moments (poor him). Now it’s the time for the final segment of the show. Jae-Seok reveals the place all the hints point to and it is the thread. It is also the place where Soo-Hyang found the mp3 player. He also reveals that someone did found the money.
Before revealing the founder’s choice, Jae-Seok does a personal advertising, “Jae-Seok is the best MC”. Jae-Seok reveals the choice and it is to carry over the money to next week. Se-Hyung suspects its Ki-Young and in the process disses Dam-Bi, Do-Yeon, Song-Kang and Sang-Ho. Song-Kang thinks it’s Soo-Hyang. Anyways, the person who found the money gets to hide it next week. If someone else finds the money they will get to keep it and if nobody finds it then the person who hid it will get to keep double the amount ($20,000).
This episode was good but lacking a bit in the comedy department. I think the main reason was the lack of involvement of Dam-Bi and Song-Kang and Do-Yeon to some level. Sang-Ho looked quite eager and over enthusiast which was good to see. If Ki-Young did find the money it could be his big chance to become the hero and come out of his shell. Overall still very enjoyable and I will be coming back next week as well for some more mystery. This is the end of Village Survival The Eight Episode 4 Recap.
P.S. – To celebrate Jennie’s solo effort lets enjoy her song.
